A digital signature is an electronic signature that can be used to authenticate the identity of the sender of a message or the signer of a document. Digital signature certificates (DSC) are the digital equivalent (that is electronic format) of physical or paper certificates like drivers’ licenses, passports or membership cards. A digital certificate can be presented electronically to prove your identity, to access information or services on the Internet or to sign certain documents digitally. Thus a digital signature certificate contains the digital signature of an individual and is authorized by a certifying authority.

In order to use the Crypto USB Token, you need to install the driver (Middleware) from the Mini Disc or website first and then plug in the token.
